We are wayyyyyy overdue for a proper vacation. The last real trip we took was to Tulum, Mexico in 2007. It was a fantastic, beautiful, relaxing, yummy-food-filled vacation, but, dude, 2007? SO LONG AGO. A lifetime ago. We had grand plans for a trip last year, but then, oh hey, we’re having a baby! And now, well. We have had the baby. Which makes travel arrangements just a little more difficult. And while I’m obnoxiously nagging Cris to pin down some actual vacation dates so we can try to plan something, my head is all aswirl with what said plans will actually be. Puerto Rico? London? New Zealand? Argentina? WHO KNOWS.
Lately, I’ve had my eyes set on France. I was an au pair in Paris when I was 19, and I’ve missed it ever since. I’m dying to go back (mostly for the cheese crepes), but this time I’d love to explore more of the country.

I came across h2olidays and now I’m having dreams of floating down peaceful canals and through old sleepy villages in our own little boat. This is 100% practical and AWESOME with a little baby, right?
Look, this would totally be me, hanging around in my bikini on a boat and petting a horse:

Jealous???
There’s also this lovely cruise bed-and-breakfast barge thing that’s awesomely called the Who Knows and leisurely travels around Burgundy, stopping to let you, like, drink more wine and stuff.

So, hey, uh, anyone got $10,000 I can borrow?
